My work focuses on creating meaningful experiences at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and human interaction. For over a decade, I've designed and produced immersive events that serve specific purposes while creating lasting connections—from corporate team development to cultural celebrations, from technological explorations to community building.
What distinguishes my approach is a deliberate integration of narrative frameworks, thoughtful interaction design, and strategic technology implementation. These elements combine to create experiences that resonate beyond the moment, addressing fundamental human needs for connection, meaning, and discovery.
This portfolio highlights selected projects demonstrating this approach across diverse contexts. Each represents not just an engaging experience, but a strategic intervention designed to address specific challenges through experience design.
My work spans over 300 projects that have reached more than 500,000 participants, with recognition from the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Times, American Theatre Magazine, and KQED. These selected highlights showcase the potential of thoughtfully designed experiences to transform how people connect with ideas and each other.
Site-Specific Narrative Adventure for Team Development
Opportunity: How might we transcend conventional offsite formats to create meaningful team connections through shared discovery? A search giant company sought an experience that would foster collaborative problem solving that breaks out of the usual silos of the workplace environment.
Approach: Rather than designing typical team-building activities, we transformed a historic site into an immersive narrative environment. The 2.5-hour experience for 25 participants investigating "temporal abnormalities" at the Fallon House integrated multiple engagement styles:
Design Process: The development began with understanding specific team dynamics and pain points. We discovered opportunities to create common experiences that would transcend departmental barriers, leading to interactive elements designed to build shared vocabulary and reference points.
Outcomes: The experience created a memorable adventure while providing multiple modes of engagement for different personality types. Team members continued to reference the experience in subsequent meetings, with shared language and inside references persisting long after the event ended. The client reported strengthened cross-departmental relationships and requested additional experiences based on the success of this model.
"We were blown away by the experience. Unforgettable. Transformative. Unique." — Izzy P.
Wonderland-Themed Immersive Journey
Opportunity: How might we create a team experience that breaks conventional workplace patterns and encourages authentic connection? A leading social media company needed to energize a team and foster relationships beyond everyday professional interactions.
Approach: Instead of a standard offsite agenda, we created an unexpected narrative journey into a fully realized Wonderland for 15 participants. The experience began with a character-hosted party bus (featuring the Caterpillar from Alice's adventures) and continued to a transformed venue in San Francisco's Mission District featuring:
